Puna Hongwanji Mission will be hosting a rummage sale from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 18.

Because of the natural disasters that have hit the Puna area, the mission had to scale down from a bazaar to a rummage sale. Donated items are being accepted for rummage sale and can be dropped off at the temple grounds, located at 16-592 Old Volcano Road in Keaau next to the social hall. Those bringing donations should look for drop off sign.

As always, the rummage sale will have all types of household items plus clothing, bedding, electronics, DVDs, trolling skirts, scrounges and many more items. The food booth will have bentos, andagi, baked goods, pickled daikon, spam musubi and laulau and smoked meat also will be for sale.

A silent auction is planned to be hosted in the garage area as well.

Proceeds from the rummage sale will go toward maintenance of the temple.

The public is encouraged to attend.
